IETE Student Chapter

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Students’ Forum (ISF) of the CSE and IT Departments was successfully inaugurated on 17th October 2025. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 350 fifth-semester students of both departments. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Prof. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee, Prof. Debashis De, and Prof. Jyotsna Kumar Mandal. During the inaugural session, students were provided with IETE identity cards, badges, and certificates. Dr. Soma Bandyopadhyay was appointed as the ISF Coordinator of MCKVIE.

Several academic and technical events have subsequently been organized under the aegis of IETE over the past year:

• A five-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Exploring Emerging Research Trends in Computing Technologies: AI, ML, and IoT (E2RTCT-2K25)” was conducted from 2nd June 2025 to 6th June 2025.
• A seminar on “The Future of Medical Science with Virtual Reality” along with a faculty interaction session on “India–European Union Research and Funding Collaborations” was organized on 29th July 2025.
• The MCKVIE Hackathon was successfully organized by the Department of CSE on 17th October 2025, encouraging innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving among students.
• Another five-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP), “Exploring Emerging Research Trends in Computing Technologies: AI, ML, and IoT (E2RTCT-2K26)”, was conducted from 19th January 2026 to 23rd January 2026.

Both the CSE and IT Departments are committed to further strengthening academic and professional engagement through expert talks, student training programs, workshops, and collaborative research initiatives under the umbrella of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.
