It is our immense pleasure to announce that the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Data Science successfully organized INSIGNIA 2K26 which was held on 9th April 2026. Following the rich tradition of our Institute the inauguration commenced with Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting by the dignitaries namely Prof. Dr. Abhijit Lahiri Principal MCKVIE Prof. Dr. Partha Sarathi Chakraborthy CEO MCKV Group our eminent guest Prof. Dr. Debashis De Immediate Past Chairman IETE Kolkata Centre Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee Secretary IETE Kolkata Centre Mr. Indranil DeSarkar from Ardent Computech Pvt. Ltd. Prof. Dr. Prasenjit Chatterjee Dean Research and Consultancy Prof. Dr. Satadal Saha Dean Academics Mr. Avijit Bose HOD CSE and Prof. Dr. S. S. Thakur Coordinator of INSIGNIA 2K26 and Teacher in Charge CSE Data Science. The event was further supported by Co Coordinators Dr. Soma Bandyopadhyay and Mr. Puspen Lahiri with Mr. Soumya Paul and Mr. Soham Goswami serving as joint conveners. A total of 133 student teams registered for the event. Among 133 registered teams 105 teams participated in the first round and after the first round screening 19 teams moved to the second round and finally 10 teams of the third round received exclusive prizes and certificates of appreciation.
