Centre of Excellence (COE): Intel® Unnati Data-Centric Lab in Emerging Technologies – Artificial Intelligence Lab
The inauguration of Centre of Excellence (COE): Intel® Unnati Data-Centric Lab in Emerging Technologies – Artificial Intelligence Lab was held on 15/July/2025 at Malay Manch, MCKVIE Campus. Industry-Academia collaboration was established between MCKVIE and INTEL by signing MoU on the same day.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Kishan Kumar Kejriwal (Chairman, MCKVIE), Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit Lahiri (Principal, MCKVIE), Mr. Srijit Bhattacharya (Global Partner Account Manager at Intel), Mr. Suhaas D (Artificial Intelligence Engineer, EDGATE Technologies), Mr. Amit Biswas (Head Partner Engineering, Intel India SMG), Mr. Jibendu Mazumder (Director, Projects, COGNIZANT), Mr. Amogh Chawla (GenC Campus HR, COGNIZANT), Mr. Dhritiman Sarkar (Human Resource – GenC (Campus Recruitment), COGNIZANT), Mr. Saswata Dhar (MCKVIE Alumnus) (Assistant Consultant, Tata Consultancy Services).
Dr. Deep Suman Dev served as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for Intel® Unnati Program at MCKVIE.
The Intel® Unnati Program, conceived by Intel India and launched in October 2021, is aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and the Government’s efforts to propel India’s digital economy transformation. It aims to bridge the wide, and growing, skill gap between technical graduates and IT industry expectations, not just by developing new curricula and offering courses in emerging technologies, but also by promoting greater industry-academic linkages and focusing on research and innovation.
Intel® Unnati Data-Centric Lab – Artificial Intelligence Lab has been deployed with server specification 3rd Generation Intel Xeon 5320-Gold 2.2 GHz Scalable Processors, Turbo 3.4GHz, (Total 52 core,104 Threads), NVIDIA Quadro RTXA6000 48GB DDR6 384BIT GPU (10752 CUDA Cores).
Equipped with cutting-edge tools and resources, the lab aims to provide hands-on experience in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Neural Network, Deep Learning, Large Language Model, Advanced Data Analytics and Generative AI.
As a part of Intel® Unnati Program, Intel® Unnati 5-Day Faculty Development Program (Train-the-Trainer Program) on “Working on Servers & Systems, Machine Learning & Deep Learning” was conducted from 15/07/2025 to 19/07/2025 at Intel® Unnati Data-Centric Lab in Emerging Technologies – Artificial Intelligence Lab, MCKV Institute of Engineering Campus. Suhaas D, Artificial Intelligence Engineer, EDGATE TECHNOLOGY PVD. LTD, Bangalore was the trainer for all the sessions of FDP. The FDP was coordinated by Dr. Deep Suman Dev, SPoC of Intel® Unnati Program for MCKVIE and organized for faculties of different departments of MCKVIE. The FDP aims to give Hands-on exposure in finding solutions for different real-time problems using Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms.
The goal of the Center of Excellence is to bring together industries, R&D institutions, and academics to hold manufacturing problems using 3D printing technologies. Through access to 3D printing technology, the Center of Excellence aims to bridge the gap between basic research, product design, and development, and provide cutting-edge solutions.

Electric vehicles are being considered a medium of future mobility. Govt of India has instituted various enabling policies to promote the implementation of EVs in the country. It is a multidisciplinary domain that involves the people from Automobile, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, and computer science disciplines as well. That emerging sector at present requires a large number of trained manpower. To cater to the need, the Automobile Engineering Department of MCKV Institute of Engineering has set up a State-of-the-art Electric Vehicle Laboratory in collaboration with Logiczap NextGen Technologies (one of the fastest-growing companies in the field of EV training & skill development), to provide complete training, internship & skill development solution in EV two-wheeler Technology for students and professionals.
The Electric Vehicle Lab & Research facility is focused on driving the transition to sustainable mobility through leveraging the benefits that electric vehicles offer. This EV Lab & Learning facility comprises up-to-date equipment, instrument & mock-up systems, to improve the ability of innovation and research among students, and collaborate with the industry personnel.
